Warren on the Issues
Every elected official is going to talk about “The Issues”.
Instead of just talking, Warren Gubler has created solutions.
Because water is so important, Warren led the effort to upgrade Visalia’s Water Conservation Plant. The $130 million project has put Visalia on the cutting edge in protecting our most valuable resource. The 99% pure recycled water will be used to irrigate Visalia’s parks, golf course, and city owned orchards, and exchanged with Tulare Irrigation District for irrigating and replenishing ground water.
Because jobs are so important, Warren has led the effort to bring new infrastructure and businesses to Visalia, creating hundreds of high-paying jobs and re-invigorating the local economy.
Because of the growing homeless population, Warren created an intervention program that creates job opportunities. He is also meeting with other government officials to find solutions to this challenge.
Because public safety is so important, Warren expanded and reinforced Visalia’s police and fire departments with smart budget management, and supported policies to keep criminals off the streets. Also, because of his leadership, Visalia built a new multi-million dollar emergency communications center to meet the needs of a growing population.
Growth & Stability
Because smart fiscal management is critical to growth and stability, Mayor Warren Gubler has worked to achieve a balanced budget for the last eight years. More importantly, following the recession, Visalia has built $13 million dollars in reserves as a “rainy day fund,” providing for future contingencies.
